Héctor H. Jardón (Dec. 31st, 1992, Toluca, Mexico) is a conductor, saxophonist, producer, and arranger.

Born and raised in Toluca, Mexico, he started his musical training at the age of 6 and continued to study violin for six years. At age 14 he started playing saxophone and entered the Conservatory of Music of the State of Mexico where he earned an Associate’s degree in Jazz Studies. In 2012, he moved to Lakewood, Colorado to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Saxophone Performance at Colorado Christian University. During his time there, he discovered that one of his great passions in music was conducting. He studied conducting for two years under the tutelage of well-known music professor and educator Mark Dorn. He was also the three time recipient of the Sarah Metzner-Boal Award for Outstanding Student in Music (14’, 15’, 16’), recipient of the Outstanding Performer in Music Award (15’) and the Outstanding Senior in the School of Music Award for the class of 16’.

As a saxophone player, Héctor has performed with several bands and artists, including Jorge Romano, Tom Wopat, and Big Band Jazz Mexiquense, and he has participated in various recordings as a soloist and as a sideman with his father.

Héctor is now a Master of Music candidate in Wind Conducting at Lamont School of Music. He is a student of Dr. Joseph Martin and has also studied with Adam Flatt, Steve Wiest and Brett Mitchell at the University of Denver. He is planning to finish his degree in June of 2020.
